tartan dreams

So here is a quick little outfit of the day of some clothing that I've recently picked up. Tartan is everywhere at the moment, who doesn't love it?!

I thought instead of going for the traditional red or green print, I would mix it up and go with grey. I know I will find a lot more clothes to wear with these as I can mix them with colour as well as black, white or grey, which is probably a bit harder with red or green tartan.

I'm thinking a beautiful cropped, pastel, fluffy sweater would look cute, so if any of you know where I can find one please let me know.  I'm so happy with them and they are hella comfy!

I'm still obsessed with my river island boots and even though its cold now I just layer them with thick socks, which makes it super acceptable apart from when its raining. Wet feet... never a good thing!

As soon as I saw this necklace I knew I had to have it! I love the fact that it looks like it could have been picked up from a street market in Morocco. Unfortunately this is not the case!
Lately I've been swaying more towards silver jewelry, which is very unusual for me as i am normally a devoted gold wearer but i think i may have been turned!

Hope you like the outfit!

Bronzed smokey eye using just 3 products

Hey!!

I just wanted to show this smokey eye that is a staple look of mine. I'm definitely a smokey eye girl over any other look and I achieved this look by using just 3 products!

Firstly I used shimmering copper eyeshadow all over my eyelid from the NARS Isolde palette. This is such a lovely warm colour and and blends perfectly. NARS eyeshadows are my absolute favourite, they have great shades and they last forever.
After applying eyeshadow I lined my eyes with MACs power point eye pencil in 'duck' concentrating on flicking the line out slightly at the corner of my eyes to create a slight winged effect.
I then took a blending brush and smudged out the liner to soften the line and create that smokey effect.
After I was happy with the look I then applied lashings of the BOURJOIS volumiser mascara in ultra black.
If you prefer a more intense smokey eye then you could always swap the brown liner for a black kohl liner.

I apologise for my spotty chin guys, it's Christmas, I've been indulging and my chin clearly doesn't approve. Also I'm waiting for my eyebrows to be threaded so I'm aware they are looking a little crazy.

What are your favourite make up looks?
And what are your favourite products to create the look?

Xx

Weekend OOTD

During the Winter I love to wear thick fluffy jumpers but sometimes I find if you are having a busy day they can sometimes be a bit bulky and hot, so I prefer to layer up, which is what I have done here.
These Topshop shorts are so cute and look great with tights, I love the fact they can be dressed up or worn casual.
I've thrown on a hat today as it was a rainy, old day in the UK (shock, horror)
My most worn item of clothing so far this Winter has to be this faux fur scarf, which I actually mentioned in my fall essentials post. I wear it with all my Winter coats and jackets, as it adds so much extra warmth and detail to my outfits.

What's been your most worn item of clothing this Winter?

Party Outfit Inspo

Its officially party season and what better way to embrace it than to buy yourself a new outfit I say!
When you feel good, you look good and I know I would be feeling wonderful in these party outfits that are on my radar.

Zara Jumpsuit £29.99

Who says you should stick to a little black dress this Christmas, I shall be embracing this little white jumpsuit at only £29.99 why ever not! I love the beautiful embroidered detail on the shorts, so pretty.

Zara Leather Look Dungarees £39.99

These dungarees are perfect for those Christmas parties where you just don't feel like getting your legs out. With a pair of heels and a cute shirt I think these dungarees would make the perfect modest but eye catching outfit. I neeeeed them!

Motel gabby Sequin Dress £58.00

I'm sure everybody and their cat has seen this dress making its way around the web, but its such a pretty dress I feel it deserves all the attention it gets. The sequins are gorgeous and the colour of it is very mermaid esque, which is never a bad thing.

Zara High Heel Pointed Shoes £29.99   Topshop Apples Chunky Lace Up Boot £85.00

Now I'm very partial to a chunky ankle boot, I feel its adds a bit of casualness to a dress and they are usually super comfy which is handy if you want to dance the night away. I love these Topshop ones, I love the fact that they are lace up as I think they look really cute and they are not too high.

If I'm wearing trousers or if I'm going somewhere extra special then I love to wear a pair of shoes that are a little more classic and sophisticated. These Zara shoes are gorgeous, I love the thick strap around the ankle and the pointed toe. These shoes are timeless and would go with every thing, I think they would look gorgeous with the black dungarees pictures above.

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet luminous matte Lip Colour In 317 La Precieuse £25.00

Lastly, of course you cant go to a Christmas party without supporting a gorgeous red lip. Red lips during the winter look beautiful and instantly add a touch of class to your outfit. I love matte lip colours and the Chanel lipsticks are really moisturising which is hard to find in matte lipsticks.

I hope you enjoyed these looks, what are your favourite party looks?

Hi everyone,

I came across these quotes on pinterest and they are so true, I really feel that sometimes we all need to take a look around us and appreciate the beautiful world that we live in. I hope you all enjoy these images and that everybody as had a fab weekend. I'm wishing you all a stress free week, which I know is hard during the busy month of December but don't forget to make time for yourself and appreciate your surroundings.

Primark Perfection

I had a little trip to Primark recently and couldn't have been more delighted with the amount of beautiful things that I managed to pick up. I bought this cord pinafore which I absolutely adore, its something so versatile that I can dress up or down. This is a typical outfit that i would wear on a night out with my girlfriends and depending on the weather I would add a coat or/and tights.
During the day I would team this beauty with a casual tee, tights and Dr.Martens. I found some other treasure's in Primark that I cant wait to show you, so keep your eyes peeled for further posts!

Christmas Wish List

I can smugly say that my Christmas shopping is well and truly under way. Never before have I been this organised and I'm so happy with all the gifts I have purchased so far.

Whilst traipsing the shops and searching on line for ideas of gifts for friends and family I couldn't help but stumble upon lots of things I would love for myself (oops)
This was obviously going to happen and if I could I would pick them up along the way but I've succumb to putting them on my Christmas list. I thought I would share it with you as hopefully it will give you some ideas of things to put on your Christmas list or some inspiration of what to buy for others.

Topshop Fedora Hat £25

I love the colour of this hat, I think it would be perfect to add a bit of interest to outfits through out the winter.

Rosie for Autograph Silk Non Padded Balcony Bra with French Designed Rose Lace
£25.00

I've lusted after Rosie's collection for Marks & Spencer for far too long without actually purchasing any of it! This balcony bra has made its way into my Christmas list though, it was hard to narrow it down to pick just one. I love the unusual colour of this and think it's quite sexy in an elegant, non obvious way.

Neom Christmas Wish: Home Candle
Mandarin, Cinnamon & Tonka Bean
£42

This 3 wick candle smells so, so heavenly and Christmassy! I love lighting candles, especially during the winter as it really brightens up the room making it feel warm and cosy. With a 50 hours burning time I'd say this little beauty is pretty good value.

Anastasia brow wiz in brunette £15.50 (cult beauty)

I've never used any Anastasia products, but I've heard such great things about this product that being such a brow geek I really want to give it a try. Groomed brows can make such a difference to your face and I love the fact that this pencil comes with a little brush on the end as well.

Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel in Brunette £16.50 (cult beauty)

I couldn't get the brow wiz without the tinted brow gel now could I!?
Apparently this offers firm hold with a natural, non-sticky appearance that will transform your brows in seconds. How could anybody revisit that!

GUERLAIN Terracotta Moisturising Bronzing Powder set #03 £34 (Debenahams)

This set comes with the bronzer in shade 03 and a bronzer brush. This is another product that I have been wanting to try for a long time so thought I would add it on to my Christmas list. I wear bronzer all year round and feel this would be perfect for winter as it gives a warm, medium golden tan with a soft, golden sheen. Geurlain bronzer's are known for darkening the skin in a way that suits your natural skin tone, so you don’t look orange or overdone.

So there's my wish list, whats on yours?
